Our Logo

First Baptist Parker desires to be identified as a church that adheres to the doctrines of grace as displayed in the Bible. We aimed to present a logo that represents our church well.

The Tulip:
Why a tulip? Because we are a church that is "Calvinist" in teaching.
We affirm that the "Five Points of Calvinism" are biblical, and therefore precious and true. Those points spell the acronym TULIP, and are represented by this flower in our logo.

T - Total Depravity of Man
U - Unconditional Election
L - Limited Atonement
I - Irresistible Grace
P - Perseverance of the Saints

The Colors:
The burgundy wine in the border, letters, and tulip represents the blood of Christ, specifically the blood of the New Covenant, to which we belong. We delight to join together in holy communion, which is a sacred time for our church members. The wine color represents the unity we have in His blood, and the bond we have as brothers and sisters as we share the holy communion wine together. The olive green represents the olive tree that we as believers have been grafted into, from Romans 11. We were cut from the "wild olive tree," from bondage to sin, and have been grafted into the olive tree of God's promises. We treasure this wondrous truth that we have been grafted into God's covenant family. Both colors together symbolize our unity in His blood as His people.

The Cross:
At the center of the logo is a cross. We desire to proclaim the necessity of the cross for the salvation of man and the centrality of Christ Jesus in all that we do. We desire to keep Christ Jesus at the center every day and in every way.

The Background Leaf Pattern:
The leaf pattern in the background of the logo reminds us of John 15:5, "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing." We, as branches, must remain with Christ Jesus, connected to Him, if we are to live and bear fruit. The members of First Baptist Parker desire to abide with Him and be fruitful in our Christian walk.
